To start, this is not a sponsored post and I'm no great fan of any of the major supermarkets. However, we have to buy diesel and I also use Tesco to stock up on value products for my store cupboard. They are also good for cleaning products. Every time we shop we automatically get Clubcard points when they 'beep' our keyring.
It all adds up.
Some people get their clubcard points through the post and spend them in the supermarket. You can of course do that but they are worth so much more if you go to the Tesco Clubcard website and use the boost to change your points.
I currently have £6.50 of points but I'm going to spend £5 of them to have £20 to spend eating out. They also have vouchers you can use for days out. There isn't really anything that appeals to me. It takes a while for us to accumulate the vouchers but for a family with children who shop regularly, then you will accumulate vouchers really quickly.
You could by a family rail card with £15 of vouchers just as an example. Take a look at the Tesco Clubcard boost webpages and maybe you could exchange your vouchers for so much more.
We've eaten out with our family at Pizza Express, who also sell gluten free pizza. Tonight, Dearly Beloved and I ate on our way home from work at Cafe Rouge. It's really quiet in the early evening and lovely to sit and chat over our supper and for there to be no washing up.
If you live in Cornwall, just using my area as an example, you could have free days out at the Blue Reef Aquarium, the Maritime Museum in Falmouth, Flambards or the Eden Project. You could of course do what we did and exchange £5 of vouchers for £20 of Cafe Rouge vouchers.
There is no such thing as a free lunch but this come pretty close.
