Hello Dear Reader,
I seldom say yes to media freebies, but when they wanted me to give something to Dearly Beloved, I said yes. It was Father's day yesterday and I have to tell you that my wonderful DB has always been the most incredible dad. He supported me and the children without a second glance and took on the role from the word go. He's always been a loving and caring role model and I can genuinely say that he loved the children like they were his own and yet, always respected their dad and was always Mike to them. Not all dads are biological and yet they do an incredible job and I can honestly say, he's a wonderful father.
We've been together for eighteen years but we still love those times when it's just 'us'. It's been a balmy evening, albeit a little overcast and we headed for the ten minute drive to Minions and onto the open moor. There were ponies and foals.
The old road way to the long abandoned quarry high on the moor. Dearly Beloved loves photography and was capturing the soft light this evening.
Here is Dearly Beloved and I am so blessed to have him in my life forever.
Me, in walking boots................my very favourite footware.
The Cheesewring in the distance. We often walk up to the stones, it's a gentle ramble from the car park.
Old stony holey thingies! Not Daniel Gumb's house but looks very similar. It was once some kind of dwelling.
The quarry. My Great grandfather was a quarry man on Bodmin moor............it may well have been this quarry.
His lovely self catching the images.
Back again to the Hurlers. We have to pinch ourselves sometimes that walks like this are just on our doorstep. I'm blessed to have him and we are so blessed to live in such a beautiful place. Thanks to Dove for sending DB such a lovely present.
Over to you Dear Reader, does anyone else have a DB who deserves a shout! Let us all celebrate the wonderful fathers in this world!
Until tomorrow,
Love Froogs xxxxx
