You've donated £377 to Cancer Research!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Dear Reader,

It's six weeks until the Plymouth Race for Life. I will have two friends entering with me and one who goes out training with me. Bless her for her wonderful encouragement! Tonight, I was in the gym and on the treadmill as part of my training. I can now run 2.5K without stopping or slowing down. Quite a feat for a woman who thought she couldn't run.

Your wonderful generosity spurs me on. So far, you have donated £377 and I am so grateful for your support. A young person I know has a pernicious form of cancer and that person is stoical and bearing the most aggressive treatment without so much as a moan. 5K.............is nothing in comparison! I won't name them, nor will I wear their name...........but I'm running for that person in amazement of their bravery.

I'm now stepping up my training to run further each day to build up speed and stamina as I want to run the entire route. I've been cheered on by you all through weight loss, development of fitness and now through my running. I am so grateful for your encouragement and belief in me. It's your words that keep me running.

I've a whole mass of things in my life right now and all of them are so joyous. I'm very lucky to be right here, right now.

Thanks so much for your incredible generosity. Whilst I'm here, I want to encourage many many more of you to enter the Race for Life. You don't have to run, you can push a pram, dance, or skip all the way round. You can get together with your friends and have a gentle walk and chat. It's such a positive thing to fight back at such a horrid disease!

I also want to encourage all of you to get out and walk, run, jog or take any form of exercise. Nothing is better for de-stressing, relieving depression or lightening the mood. I'm a different person because of my change of lifestyle. I'm healthier and have a more energised approach to life. I started off by walking every day and building up to hour long walks whilst listening to music. I moved onto going to the gym. Now, I'm a confident, go out and run on my own runner. It has really been life changing. I have a pair of trainers and running kit and every step I take is now free.

Liberating, life changing and free!

What's not to like?

Thanks again for your amazing generosity.

Until tomorrow,

Love Froogs xxxxxxxx
